She will be presenting her favorite class, “Introduction to Employment Law for the Aspiring Company Officer,” at the Fire Department Instructor Conference and Women in Fire Conference on April 21 and 23, 2026. She also will be participating in a panel discussing Women’s Health in the Stadium as well, on April 23.
Always happy to return to Lincoln, Nebraska, Alisa will be presenting “Putting Out Personnel Fires Before They Start- An Officer's Guide to Employment Law,” at the Missouri Valley Division Conference of the IAFC in June.

Alisa is pleased to be appointed as member of the Board of The Beltane Guild, a nonprofit organization working to improve reproductive health for firefighters. The organization provides micro grants to firefighters seeking fertility treatments. Visit http://www.thebeltaneguild.org

Alisa is quoted in a newly published book by Chief Dena Ali: Hope Out of Darkness: A Guide to First Responder Mental Wellness. It is a critical read for anyone connected to, or interested in, the efforts to ensure our first responders are healthy from every perspective.

Alisa will be team teaching with one of her Canadian colleagues at the 2025 Annual Training Symposium for Fire Service Women of Ontario in October. The session is – “Balancing Acts: Supporting Gender Transition in the Fire Service — What the Law Requires and Leadership Demands.” Watch this space for further information.

A new conference for Alisa is the Northwest Regional CIT Conference in Spokane in May. She will present her class, “Minimizing the Bullying Crisis on our Own Front Lines.”
