Congratulations to Alisa on being named one of the Top 50 Women Attorneys in Illinois for the 7th consecutive year and one of the top labor and employment attorneys in Illinois for the 10th consecutive year by SuperLawyers.
Alisa and Gregg were successful on a breach of contract case before the Illinois Appellate Court, which affirmed, without argument a bench verdict for its client, but on different grounds than those upon which the trial judge relied. Click here.
Gregg scored a big victory on administrative review before the Circuit Court of Cook County in a case of import to staffing agencies. The Illinois Department of Employment Security often confuses who the actual employer is in cases involving staffing agencies, and Gregg convinced the Circuit Court that the particular matter was not a misconduct case, but a voluntary leaving case. The matter has been remanded to the Board of Review for determination of the voluntary leaving issue.
Alisa recently spoke at Fire Rescue International 2016 in San Antonio, teaching firefighters who wish to advance their careers how their EEO responsibilities change once they go from "Buddy to Boss," that is, from firefighter to a command position.
Alisa was recently interviewed for the Workologist column in the New York Times - click here.
